- The ODF team is working on a set of classes and tools to convert MacApp
- and PowerPlant views to ODF. You will see those hopefully by ODF Release
- 2. You won't be able to convert everything but you will be able at least
- to convert all the standard views. What's more interesting is that you
- will be able to use AddLib or Constructor with ODF. But you will have to
- use some sort of conversion tool. AppMaker on the other end is available
- today and works we native ODF view resources.
-
-
- Having a bridge between MacApp and ODF is very important for us. As we
- said at the WWDC we are looking at integrating some of the ODF technology
- into MacApp so we could share more code. But, MacApp and ODF are very
- different. Moving too fast will mean breaking a lot of people code. We
- don't want to do that. Developing tools and classes to ease the
- transition is one of our first step.
